Brand Story
Built from the ground up. Like the name says.
Long before Bauer was a heating and cooling company in the Treasure Valley, it was a name with a job to do. In old high German, Bauer came from the word buan—"to cultivate, to build." In the villages of central Europe, a Bauer was the farmer, the neighbor, the fellow citizen. The person who worked the land with their own two hands, who knew everyone on the road by name, and whose word was as good as their handshake. Bauer wasn't the loudest person in town. They were the ones you called when something needed to get done right.
That's what Bauer Heating and Cooling still is!
When we hire, we hire individuals we'd want sitting at our own kitchen table. When repairs are recommended, we recommend what we'd put in our own mother's house. When we quote a price, it's the price—no pressure, no scare tactics, it is done by industry experts with over 55 years of trade knowledge. Because we're not writing a customer profile—we're writing to our neighbors.
That's the Bauer way and has been the Bauer way in the Treasure Valley since 1972. And we will continue to cultivate the Bauer way as long as our name is on the truck and we are in your homes.
Core Values
Community: We live where you live. The Treasure Valley isn’t a service territory on a map—it's our home.
Family: Yours and ours. We know the homeowner making the call is usually thinking about more than a thermostat; they are thinking about a baby’s nursery in July, a parent on oxygen in January, a heating bill on a fixed income. We treat every house like one of our own.
Integrity: We do what we say. We charge what we quote. We tell you the truth, even when the truth costs us a sale. We leave the jobs proudly putting our name on it.
Humble: We don’t wear capes. We’re the quiet pickup in your driveway, the calm voice on the phone at 6:00 am, the technician who says "ma’am" and "sir" and means it. We’ve been doing this a long time, and will continue for decades to come.
Kind: Comfort isn’t really about temperature. It’s about the feeling in your own home. We try to leave every house a little better than we found it. Boots wiped, floors swept, and questions answered. Kindness costs nothing, and in our line of work, it’s just another day at the office.
